Sunbright, TN – Medusa Motorsports, a newly formed professional racing organization, is proud to announce its official entry into the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. The team will campaign the race-proven Ford Mustang GT4 in the Grand Sport (GS) class, marking a bold arrival into one of North America’s most competitive sports car series.
This entry represents the culmination of extensive planning and development, positioning Medusa Motorsports to compete immediately against established veterans in the paddock. By selecting the Ford Mustang GT4—a platform renowned for its V8 power, reliability, and engineering support from Ford Performance and Multimatic—the team has signaled its intent to fight for podiums from the very first green flag.
“We are incredibly proud to unveil Medusa Motorsports and join the IMSA paddock for the 2026 season,” said Ivy Sterling, CEO of Medusa Motorsports. “This team is built on a foundation of ambition and precision. While we may be a new name on the entry list, our vision is long-term and our hunger for success is unmatched. Entering the Michelin Pilot Challenge with the Mustang GT4 gives us the perfect platform to showcase what we are capable of, and I can’t wait to see our colors on the grid at Daytona.”
The move to the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge places Medusa Motorsports in the heart of manufacturer-supported GT4 competition, a series known for its grueling endurance format and close quarter racing.
“From a competition standpoint, there is no better place to be right now than the Michelin Pilot Challenge,” said Brandon Graham, Director of Competition. “The level of talent in the GS class is staggering, but that is exactly why we are here. We chose the Ford Mustang GT4 because it is a proven weapon that rewards aggressive driving and consistency. We have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to assemble a crew and engineering package that matches the quality of the car. We are not just showing up to participate; we are showing up to compete.”
Customer Racing and Testing Opportunities
In addition to its factory-level effort in the GS class, Medusa Motorsports is launching a comprehensive testing and customer racing program for the 2026 season. Whether for aspiring professional drivers looking to gain seat time in GT4 machinery or gentleman drivers seeking a premium trackside support experience, Medusa Motorsports provides a professional environment designed to lower lap times and elevate race craft.
